  11. i'm new to this internet malarky, having set up AmiTCP-4Demo and Amosaic1.2
  12. and MUI3 in just two nights last week.

  14. i have a few qestions, Amosaic1.2 doesnt seem to support commands like
  15. '<center>' and '<body background="blah.gif">' and such like.
  16. and i heard/saw Amosaic 1.3 and 1.4 and now version 2 are much better, but
  17. the trouble is i cant seem to get them, or rather i dont know where.
  18. At the Amosaic home site there is only Amosaic1.2, which is where i got all
  19. my stuff from...

  22. Can someone tell me where to get these new versions of the Web browser?

  24. BTW do i really need HTTPd if i'm running it on my own computer (not
  25. connected to the net)....being without it hasnt caused problems yet.

  27. If AmiTCP-4Demo is the demo, whats different about it compared to the 
  28. commercial version (other than lack of printed material)?

  30. Whats the closest to Netscape, in terms of the html documents translating
  31. via these two different browsers?
  32. i have been creating the docs on my machine, viewing and adjusting via
  33. Amosaic1.2, then porting the files to Macs(via DOS Zip disks) where i have
  34. to view them in Netscape1.1 (as this is where the docs would actually be
  35. kept - the Web server here is Mac-based).

  37. or is the difference so great (pages get screwed up when created on Amiga
  38. and viewed on Mac and same problem when the other way round) that i should
  39. give up and just do the pages as for the machine that they will reside in
  40. (ie. the Mac)???
